System Manager

Sunny Boy Storage passa in funzionamento standby dopo la messa in funzione e la configurazione di Sunny Tripower X come System Manager (negli impianti senza Sunny Home Manager). Cosa devo fare affinché Sunny Boy Storage entri in funzionamento?

Release Notes

Version 03.17.xx.R (November 2026)

Firmware features & improvements:

  • ennexOS: Greater Flexibility in System Configuration
All products based on the ennexOS platform can now be configured as a System Manager. This includes, for example, Sunny Tripower Hybrid X, Sunny Tripower X, Sunny Boy Smart Energy, and SMA eCharger.
This allows the System Manager to be selected more flexibly according to the specific system design.
  • New Integrated Energy Management for Optimized Energy Use
The new firmware introduces new energy management functions based on the ennexOS platform.
    Energy Planner (Manual)
The Energy Planner, previously available under the name "Scheduler," is enabled by default and optimizes solar self-consumption around the clock. In addition, plant owners can:
‐ Define time-dependent limits to reduce peak loads.
‐ Manually schedule battery charging and discharging behavior.
The names of the individual operating modes have been revised to make their functions easier to understand.
    Energy Maximizer (Automatic)
The Energy Maximizer controls the energy system fully automatically and intelligently with the goal of reducing electricity costs for plant owners. It considers factors such as:
    ‐ PV generation forecasts
    ‐ Consumption forecasts
    ‐ Dynamic electricity tariffs
Based on this information, the Energy Maximizer optimizes the use, storage, and procurement of energy.
  • Control of Energy Consumption and Energy Generation via EEBUS
The EEBUS use cases LPC and LPP can now be implemented through an EEBUS control box and the System Manager:
‐ LPC (Limitation of Power Consumption): Limitation of energy consumption from the grid
‐ LPP (Limitation of Power Production): Limitation of energy generation
This enables targeted limitation of both energy consumption and energy production via EEBUS, for example to comply with the requirements of §14a of the German Energy Industry Act (EnWG).
  • More Robust Modbus Communication
The overall robustness of Modbus communication has been improved.
In SCADA systems, parameters can now be transmitted at high frequency even if their values do not change with every transmission. If a value remains unchanged, no additional event is logged.
In addition, the Modbus server profile has been standardized and is intended to be used for all new products. For existing applications, a compatibility server profile remains available via the Data Manager.
  • Faster and Centralized Diagnostics
In systems with devices based on the ennexOS platform, diagnostic files from subordinate devices can now be retrieved centrally through the System Manager.
This simplifies analysis of the entire system, as diagnostic files no longer need to be retrieved separately from each individual device.
